Spending Time with My Baby!

Today was a stay-at-home, get'r done, and spend time with Amerie day. I finally finished reading the last book to Philip Pullman's Trilogy of the Golden Compass, trying to understand where this man lies in his beliefs...I don't support or believe in what he believes in, but I see no problem with educating myself. I have to say the story was VERY long, but quite interesting. I liked it...his imagination is just amazing! Another day.actually my last day...to stay home and chill...it's time to get ready for my J.O.B. AAAAHHH!

Breakfast: I had planned on having a huge bowl of hot, creamy Cinnamon and Brown Sugar Oatmeal when I discovered there was only 1/2 a cup left! What was I to do..well, when I had made museli last, I had ended up making double than what I needed, so I stored the extra 1/4 cup of grounded grains in a container in the cabinet..well I found it just in time! Perfect! I thought..I'll make a quick, morning muesli. Of course, the oats were a little chewy since they were only soaking for a couple minutes but I was in heaven as always when I get to indulge in this aromatic, cold and creamy GORP mixture! All for 395 Cals! As for Amerie, hot cinnamon sugar oatmeal with some dried fruit and nuts...her own little muesli!

Lunch: As you may know by now, I either like to wait til the very last minute to shop..or I shop continuosly during the week for what I need for the day or week. Well, unfortunately, it ended up being a wait til the last minute again and we were running out of things (As usual!!) so I decided to make a classic PB and J (or preserves) with Potato Chips in between with the absolute last two slices of whole wheat bread! A whopping 350 calories but that's only cause this addict cakes on a dollopping 1 tablespoon of peanut butter and it was crunchy PB too! The best!! As for Amerie, I broiled up a Turkey Melt with maple sugar turkey slices and white american cheese on a potato roll and some peanut butter and carrots.

Activities: After nap time, we went outside to the playrground for some mommy and me excercise/play time. We began playing, starting with the swings, until I realized how hot it really was outside. The slide, everything was too hot to touch, so after 10 minutes I promised her we would listen to her new favorite CD from the library, The Wiggles, including the oh so adictive "Hot Potato" song which she loves!! So we went home and danced our hearts away through the whole CD!

Dinner: Leftover day..I concocted a mix of leftovers..black beans, corn, rice and salsa seasoned with cumin and cilantro on top a boca (Approx. 275 Calories) As for Tim, Popcorn Shrimp and Mozza Bites and Amerie had Rotini with Peas and Corn, Black Beans and Peanut Butter Balls for dessert.

A great day..I didn't get too much done, but I had a wonderful day...spending my last "Lazy Day" with my daughter before my JOB as a working mom and wife becomes even more complicated and busy!! Lastly...AAAAH!!
